    1. LISA KLEYPAS is the RITA award winning author of 21 novels Her books are published in fourteen languages and are bestsellers all over the world She lives in Washington State with her husband and two children.

    2. From the cover:What is the price of love?Nick Gentry is reputed to be the most skillful lover in all England. Known for solving delicate situations, he is hired to seek out Miss Charlotte Howard. He believes his mission will be easily accomplished --but that was before he met the lady in question. For instead of a willful female, he discovers one in desperate circumstances, hiding from a man who would destroy her very soul. So Nick shockingly offers her a very different kind of proposition -- one [...]

    3. Lottie had lived most of her life under the thumb of her family's crazed benefactor. She ran away and has found a semblance of peace in the country, until she's found by a certain dangerous bow street runner. The first 8 chapters are magical but IMO the story goes down hill pretty quickly after. There are a few mini plots (secret identities, mental scars, family issues) aside from the main romance/protection plot. With skill extremely predictable books can be enjoyable, but this ain't the case h [...]

    4. This one did nothing for me really. Couldn't warm to either character. I really enjoyed the first two in the series. This one left me cold. Skimmed the last 20%. I didn't care. I have no idea why.I feel I should give it a three but, honestly, I cannot. It was OK but I did not love it, I did not even really like it.

    5. I loved Nick Gentry since his first appearance in 'Lady Sophia´s Lover', the previous book in this series. After reading 'Worth Any Price', I´m pleased to say I´m not disappointed. :) Yes, he wasn´t perfect and did some unpleasant (to put it mildly) things in the past, but LK did a wonderful job "justifying" his actions. I just couldn´t not love Nick!I loved Lottie too. She was strong and much able to fend for herself, even though she herself doubt it sometimes. In summary, she was the perf [...]

    6. This woman is still my go-to when I find myself slipping further and further into bad reads. If I'm going to read fluff, it might as well be fun fluff. Kleypas brings the fun every time. Well, almost every time. I'm still trying to forget about Christmas at Friday Harbor. Books 1 and 2 of the Bow Street Runners were not my favorite offerings from Kleypas. I almost decided not to read Worth Any Price in favor of checking out one of her other series which I haven't read yet. I'm glad now that I fo [...]

    7. This review will be written in a series of lettersDear Nick Gentry,I want to sincerely apologize for my extreme dislike of you in Lady Sophia's Lover. I am going to attribute it to the fact that I didn't really know you and the fact that you only showed me your Extreme Jerk-Off side in the previous book.Over three years later, I now see that I judged you too quickly. All you needed was someone to give you a chance at a better life to prove your worth. Thank God you were able to receive that chan [...]

    8. As I started to read Worth Any Price, I kept flipping back to the cover to make sure I was reading a LK book and not another author by mistake. I’ve read a good amount of LK books and enjoy her style of writing greatly, but with Worth Any Price it was very unusual style that differ from other LK books I’ve read so far, one with more of a teasing sensual level,. I’ve only found in one other of her books. Rating this book was also tough, as it was a different take on LK’s style, but not in [...]

    9. This one would have gotten four stars from me if not for the dangling plot point regarding Charlotte's family. Seriously, her parents were tossing their daughters at rich, psychotic perverts and we're not gonna revisit that topic? Sloppy.

    10. Nick Gentry, former crime lord turned Bow Street runner, is hired to find the elusive Miss Charlotte Howard, Lord Radnor’s unwilling fiancée. Nick is to hunt the reluctant bride down and bring her back to his groom-to-be no matter what. For Nick, known for his knack in solving “delicate” situations, this should be an easy mission. The playfield shifts when he finally meets her.Charlotte Howard is desperate and prepared to do anything to escape a fate worst than death as the obsessed Lord R [...]

    11. This was an amazing book! From very early on in the story I knew two things: Nick was going to become one of my favorite heroes, if not my very favorite, and this book was going to be one of the top favorites of my all-time favorite books! I give this book 10 stars!!When we first met Nick Gentry in Lady Sophia's Lover I had my doubts about him. I don't really know what it was that bothered me about him, maybe he seemed cocky or something, but to be honest I wasn't that thrilled about reading his [...]

    12. This was a light and really enjoyable read. At the end it a got a bit intense but I felt like it fell a little flat, like the author was rushing to finish it. Also (view spoiler)[I thought there was another reason why Lottie's parents didn't accept Nick's help, I thought they were keeping a secret but it was never really explained (hide spoiler)]. Then there was the epilogue, honestly, I wanted it to be more about Nick and Lottie and less about Sophia and Ross.

    13. Lisa Kleypas is the Joe Dimaggio of Historical Romance. Her stories have a smoothness, grace and power that is absolutely unmatched, and she carves out each tale with cool perfection and ease. Effortlessly summoning up all the luxury and allure of Victorian manners, clothing and cuisine, she combines the glamorous settings with deeply engrossing characters and raw sexual pyrotechnics.Nick Gentry was the villain in the previous novel, LADY SOPHIA'S LOVER. As a bold master thief forced into a catc [...]

    14. Kleypas proves once again that a good writer can take plot elements that normally don't appeal to me and make them work. ***spoilers***In this case, I'm speaking of a sexually abused hero who has only been with one other woman prior to the h and still make him a very convincing and sexy alphaof course that 'other woman' taught him far more than anyone else could have ;) Yes, my assumptions are sexist. I am aware. I don't expect romance to be PC (or realistic). There was one glaring plot hole that [...]

    15. 5+ stars – Historical RomanceWOW! This is another beautiful, romantic, evocative, and lushly sensual read from the master of historical romance, Lisa Kleypas. I absolutely loved it! Big 5 stars!

    16. 3.5Worth Any Price was way better than the previous book. You need to give it a chance, though. The start is a bit bumpy. I mean the first page has these words: 'the urge to mate had finally become stronger than fear'. So, yeah, I had to suspend whatever there was to be suspended to move past that in addition to the usual suspension of disbelif when it comes to historical romances (which I don't have any issues with).I liked this story. The heroine being very likeable helped too. The thing is, i [...]

    17. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK! This is my favorite LK book so far. I didn't feel like Nick having his own book at first when I read Lady Sophia's Lover, but man, am I stupid or what? Nick Gentry is a dreamy Hero (if a little bit pervy but I like that) and I really liked Lottie too! Great story line, great plot, but that is already expected of LK. ;)

    18. Nick is hired to find Lottie. When he does, his loins burn for her so he proposes marriage. And then there is sex. So much sex. Tantric sex! Bondage sex! Shower sex! Oh, and Nick faces his ~past and becomes a Better Man for it?? But mostly: sex.1. I cannot tell a lie: I was kind of into the sex. 2. THAT SAID, WHOA ISSUES. a. [trigger warning: sexual abuse of a child; dubious consent] (view spoiler)[When Lottie is 'caught' by Nick, she offers to become his mistress and he demands a ~demonstration [...]

    19. Thank God for snow days! I turned off my phones, locked all of the doors and put my kiddos busy so I could finish one book and start "Worth Any Price". I could not put the book down and managed to finish it the same day. I can't believe I let this one sit in my TBR pile for so long! When the book opened with Nick Gentry arriving at the doorstep of an upscale brothel, I had my doubts. Nick could not tolerate the touch of any human being and he managed to work through his deeper issues with the hel [...]

    20. First read: August 20164.5 starsok hi remember my undying devotion towards Sebastian St. Vincent? well yeah Nick Gentry almost, almost wrestled that top spot away from St. Vincent because mannnnnn dude is super hot where can I haz onealso kinky stuff, I like.Reread: April 2017I still love Nick Gentry. Also I forgot this in my first read but trigger warning for rape mention and suicide.

    21. “Every rule should be broken once in a while,” . However, he had never been one to respect rules, even his own.

    22. 3.5 stars. I loved the first 150 pages (about 40%). The rest was only ok because it was too ordinary.I’m looking for great stories with creativity. The potential was here, but it wasn’t developed as I would have liked. I enjoyed the characters Nick and Lottie. THE FIRST PART OF THE STORY:Nick was orphaned as a child, lived on the streets and was abused in a prison ship. He became a famous crime lord. Then he became a good guy by joining the Bow Street Runners for three years. Because of his [...]

    23. I read this book as part of a buddy-read of the Bow Street Runners series and I want to apologize to my friends in advance for a somewhat harsh review. Most of them liked this one the best, but this wasn't the case for me.For me this book was a wasted opportunity. It had a very strong beginning. Nick has intrigued me since the previous book. He is cold and kind of villainous and I couldn't wait to see him change and reform. Lottie made such an impression on me. She started out as one of the best [...]

    24. It's always hard for a book to live up to high expectations. Lisa Kleypas writing never disappoints, but there were things about this book that were just not my preference. For one, Worth Any Price rates rather high in the heat scale. That in itself is not something I'd normally complain about. However to me it seemed like the romance took a back seat to all the heat. The couple doesn't spent much time together, at least in getting to know each other anyways. I rather like some steam in my roman [...]

    25. I Loved it! this book was pure satisfaction I could not stop reading and never wanted it to end. Nick Gentry is without a doubt one of my favorite Kleypas heroes. I love all of Lisa Kleypas books. All of her books are on my keeper shelfThis one is no exception!

    26. 3.5 - My favorite of the Bow Street series. I guess I'm a sucker for the hero who becomes more than what he was.

    27. If I had thought Sir Ross was an insatiable and creative man, Nick Gentry just blew me away. Our infamous crime lord/thief-taker was offered a job by his brother-in-law at the end of the previous book to work as an official runner. This story takes place three years later, when Nick Gentry is dispatched by a man with an ugly soul, Lord Radnor, to find and bring back his runaway bride, Charlotte Howard. It takes Nick surprisingly longer than he probably imagined to find Lottie Howard but when he d [...]
