    1. MatthewLewis Is a well-known author, some of his books are a fascination for readers like in the The Wars of the Roses: The Key Players in the Struggle for Supremacy book, this is one of the most wanted MatthewLewis author readers around the world.

    2. Matthew Lewis’ book has to be one of the best books on the Wars of the Roses that I have ever read. I went into the book having some previous knowledge of the Wars of the Roses but I openly admit I did not know who all of the players, events or battles were. (Let’s face it, spanning well over thirty years the Wars of the Roses can be quite confusing at times with multiple Kings, people and even a whole country involved!) Matthew Lewis’ book was clear, concise and brilliantly written. I was [...]

    3. This is a very readable account of the Wars of the Roses. Matthew Lewis seems to take a more favourable position towards Richard III, but having read Alison Weir's book,"Richard III and the Princes in the Tower," I find her arguments against Richard far more convincing. However weak the sources, her arguments are still based on sources! Mathew Lewis makes suggestions that are based on the argument that since we don't really know, anything is possible. Some of his arguments are really forced. And [...]

    4. An engaging accessible account of the War of the Roses. Seemed well researched and a good book to read as a start to getting to know the period. I would have liked to see a family tree & perhaps a list of historical figures as it got a bit difficult keeping track of the many people called George or Edward!
