    1. David Malcolm Bennett Is a well-known author, some of his books are a fascination for readers like in the Charles Haddon Spurgeon Revisited book, this is one of the most wanted David Malcolm Bennett author readers around the world.

    2. This was an excellent short biography. It didn’t bog down in endless details or quotations. But it included enough of both to be a very good introduction to a great man of God. Bennett was also very fair. He obviously respects Spurgeon greatly and yet he still includes a fair amount of the criticism he received in his day. It’s not a doctrinal statement. It’s just the barest of overviews of Spurgeon’s life. You’ll get a good general idea of his beliefs, however. This is the best part. B [...]

    3. This is a fair dramatic biography of one of the greatest preachers, pastors of all times - Charles Spurgeon. This story has many references to Spurgeon's letters and speaches, it shows the good, the bad and the ugly, just like anyone's life is. As great as many people are, they are merely human, however, their work had started something great and impacted the world, and that commands respect. The language of the book is easy and fun to read, it brings just enough theology to express Spurgeon's vi [...]

    4. A most lively and faithful rendering of CH Spurgeon’s life as passion for His Lord Immanuel. Interesting nuggets I had not known of Spurgeon even though I worshipped at the Metropolitan Tabernacle for 3 years and read Spurgeon’s books. Thoroughly inspired to do more for my Lord, gird my mind with sound theology and to tell the world of how He has saved my soul.

    5. This is a well written biography about the Prince of Preachers, starting with his grandfather's influence on his life, continuing through his successful ministry, and ending with his death and the legacy he left behind. I have never studied Spurgeon or read any of his works. I found rhe story of his life and ministry to be fascinating. The author includes several lengthy sermons and articles that Spurgeon delivered, bit the bulk of the book is centered around his life and family. Ultimately Benn [...]

    6. There are many books out there about the life of Charles Spurgeon. I could not guess how many of these books I have read. This particular book has to be one of my favorites. It is not one of the extensively academic or voluminous biographies of Spurgeon. It is instead a much more succinct overview of his life and ministry. The author does an excellent job of not majoring on the minors and keeping the book moving. Spurgeon is not painted as a saint, but also not criticized for the minor flaws tha [...]
