    1. Kia Corthron Is a well-known author, some of his books are a fascination for readers like in the Breath, Boom book, this is one of the most wanted Kia Corthron author readers around the world.

    2. Let's be honest, this isn't really "my" kind of play if you know what I mean. I didn't even intend to read the whole thing, but once I started I couldn't stop. The penultimate scene confused me a bit, might be unnecessary. The end was pretty heart-wrenching, although I'm not 100% sure about the last line.

    3. So many wonderful, complicated roles for women in this piece. And most are for women of color. Fantastic. I really would love to see and hear this play in person - it just crackles on the page. There's heart and fight and all of the icky sticky things I love to see in a play.

    4. I did not understand this play when I read it. I must withhold judgement until I can see it performed. Never read a play, folks.

    5. SO GOOD. This is a must-read. The language is a little tough to digest, but once you get a handle on it, it's great.
